A recent traffic alert issued on August 31, 2026, reported that Highway 17 South in Brunswick County was shut down due to a vehicle crash. The initial report was published at 7:12 PM EDT and updated at 11:00 PM EDT on the same day.

While this incident occurred outside of Greer, residents traveling south through Brunswick County should be aware of potential delays and seek alternate routes.
