## Clemson University Introduces New Fellowship Program

Clemson University’s College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences has initiated a new fellowship program called CECAS Global Scholars. This program is designed to support select incoming master’s students.

The inaugural group of Global Scholars, consisting of five students, began their graduate studies at Clemson this fall. These scholars receive a fellowship stipend and a reduction to in-state tuition rates to assist with their studies. The inaugural Global Scholars were recognized on September 9 at Orange Horizons, a new fellowship recognition event held at the Barnes Center.

The first cohort of Global Scholars includes Sumter Archer, Joshua Hoggatt, Taylor Hopkins, Quincey Miller, and Madison Smith. Additionally, new Dean’s Scholar Fellows were recognized, including Shane Abercrombie, Robert Lowery, Ben Simon, Steven Szachara, and Aidan Wolynn. Dean’s Scholar Fellows are Ph.D. students who receive a $5,000 fellowship stipend in addition to an assistantship offer.
