GREER, S.C. — Greer’s Halloween week picks up again Friday, Oct. 30, when the city’s Center for the Arts on Trade Street hosts a free Day of the Dead celebration complete with an artists market.

The Día de los Muertos celebration fills the Driggers arts center, a city-owned venue at 804 Trade St. Expect live music and dancers on stage, local artists selling their work, no-cost craft tables for kids, food trucks and a teaching station about monarch butterflies. Admission costs nothing.

The festival follows Sunday evening’s downtown Trunk or Treat on Trade, where families went car to car collecting candy from trunks dressed up by local shops, civic groups, emergency crews and city workers.

Halloween itself lands on Saturday, Oct. 31. No citywide trick-or-treat window had been set by Greer leaders as of mid-October. The Greer Police Department non-emergency line is 864-848-2151.
